About email risk scoring
Risk scoring answers one question: how likely is sending to this address to hurt you? The biggest risk factors are measurable — invalid syntax, a domain with no MX record, a disposable domain, or a likely typo all sharply raise the chance of a bounce or complaint.
This scorer combines those real signals into a transparent low/medium/high band with a 0-100 confidence score, and lists exactly what drove the result. It does not perform an SMTP mailbox probe, so treat a low-risk score as strong confidence rather than a delivery guarantee.

Got Questions? We Have Answers.
What does the risk score measure?
How likely sending to the address is to cause a bounce or complaint, based on syntax, live MX records, and disposable/role/typo signals.
How is the band decided?
Real risk factors deduct from a 100 base; the resulting score maps to a low, medium or high risk band, with every contributing signal shown.
Does it check the mailbox exists?
No SMTP mailbox probe is run, so a low-risk result means strong confidence, not a delivery guarantee. Add a mailbox check for critical sends.
Is the MX lookup live?
Yes. Records are resolved over DNS-over-HTTPS at the moment you run the check.
