About bounce prediction

A bounce happens when a mail server rejects your message — most often because the address is malformed, the domain has no mail server, or the mailbox does not exist. The first two are detectable before you send, and they cause the majority of avoidable bounces.

This predictor turns the real signals — syntax, live MX resolution, disposable and typo detection — into an estimated bounce risk percentage. It is a prediction, not a guarantee: it cannot see whether a specific mailbox is full or has been deleted (that needs an SMTP probe), so use it to catch the obvious bounces early and pair it with a mailbox check for high-stakes sends.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Got Questions? We Have Answers.

How does it predict bounces?

It combines the detectable causes of bounces — bad syntax, no MX record, disposable domains, likely typos — into an estimated bounce-risk percentage.

Is the prediction a guarantee?

No. It cannot see whether a specific mailbox is full or deleted (that needs an SMTP probe), so it catches the avoidable bounces, not every one.

Why prevent bounces?

High bounce rates get you throttled or blacklisted. Screening risky addresses first protects sender reputation.

Is the MX lookup live?

Yes. It resolves the domain's MX records over DNS-over-HTTPS in real time.
