Won’t my regular hosting protect me?
No. Regular hosting (shared, VPS, dedicated) provides zero DDoS protection. If your server gets attacked, it goes down. Some cloud hosts auto-scale during attacks, but you pay for the attack traffic. HostCloud DDoS Protection blocks attacks without passing costs to you.
Can’t I just use CloudFlare?
CloudFlare offers basic DDoS protection, but the free plan has limits (under 20k requests/second), Layer 7 protection is paid-plan only, and support requires a premium plan. HostCloud DDoS Protection includes full Layer 3-7 protection, India-based mitigation (faster for Indian visitors), and direct support from our team.
Will protection slow down my site?
No. Mitigation happens at our edge network before traffic reaches your server. Legitimate requests pass through with zero latency. During attacks, your site is actually faster because only clean traffic reaches it.
What if an attack is bigger than your capacity?
