About email headers
Every email carries headers — metadata added by each server that handles it. The Received lines record its journey (newest first), while Authentication-Results records whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC passed at the receiving server.
Reading headers by hand is tedious. This analyzer unfolds them, orders the delivery path oldest-to-newest with per-hop delays, and surfaces the authentication verdicts so you can quickly judge whether a message is genuine and where it slowed down. Analysis runs in your browser; the optional AI summary is the only thing sent anywhere.

Got Questions? We Have Answers.
What does the email header analyzer show?
It unfolds the raw headers and extracts From, To, Subject, Date and Message-ID, rebuilds the Received delivery path with per-hop delays, and surfaces the SPF, DKIM and DMARC authentication results.
How do I get the raw headers?
Use "Show original" in Gmail or "View source" / "View message source" in Outlook and most clients, then paste the full text into the tool.
How do headers reveal a phishing email?
Failed authentication, a From that does not match the sending server, or an unexpected originating IP are red flags the analyzer highlights.
What are the Received headers?
Each server that handles a message prepends a Received line recording where it came from and when. Read newest-first, they trace the full delivery path.
Is my pasted email uploaded?
No. Headers are parsed entirely in your browser; only the optional AI summary sends a short digest to the AI helper.
What does the AI summary add?
It translates the technical results into plain English — whether the mail is authenticated, where it travelled and any anomalies worth investigating.
