About salary and take-home pay
Your take-home (net) pay is your gross salary minus taxes and deductions. The biggest pieces are federal income tax (calculated from progressive brackets on your taxable income) and FICA — 6.2% Social Security up to the wage base plus 1.45% Medicare.
This calculator uses the real published 2025 figures and the standard deduction to estimate your net pay per paycheck and per year. It is an estimate for a W-2 employee: it excludes tax credits, other withholdings and local taxes, and state tax is a flat rate you supply. It is not tax advice and is not affiliated with ADP, Inc. — the name is a popular search term for paycheck calculators.

Got Questions? We Have Answers.
Is this the official ADP calculator?
No — this tool is not affiliated with or endorsed by ADP, Inc. "ADP" is simply a popular search term for paycheck calculators. It uses published IRS figures to give an independent estimate.
Which tax year does it use?
US federal tax year 2025 — the real published brackets, standard deduction, FICA rates and Social Security wage base.
Does it include state tax?
Only as an optional flat rate you enter, since every state differs. Leave it blank for no-income-tax states like Texas or Florida. Local taxes are not included.
How accurate is it?
It is a close estimate for a typical W-2 employee taking the standard deduction. It excludes tax credits, additional withholdings and itemized deductions, so your actual paycheck may differ.
